The vision for the new Visual and Performing Arts Facility is an art gallery and performing arts theatre complex, with adjacent multipurpose, ceremonial and programming space, equipment and amenities. This project will be used as a catalyst for downtown revitalization and riverbank development, and as a conduit for external investment from outside the municipal tax base.
Theatre: seating for 600 in a comfortable and professionally acoustical surrounding with a full presidium stage and orchestra pit. The size based on an analysis of data balancing the considerations of revenue opportunities, construction and operational costs and regional demographics. Gallery: new home for the "Little Gallery" includes 3000 square feet of exhibition space in three climate controlled galleries with ancillary services including proper storage area for the City's permanent Art Collection Community Foyer: an exciting and aesthetic venue for community celebrations, foyer events and receptions overlooking an enhanced riverbank parkscape. Studio, Rehearsal and Workshop Space: this space will be vitally important, used extensively for youth, educational purposes. Plug-in Catering Services: to enhance the services that can be provided by businesses in the catering facilities private sector. Community Meeting Rooms: suitable for conventions, social gatherings, workshops and meetings, etc. |

| A total value of $3.55 million has been committed to date in landbase construction and operational capital. Architects have completeted an Area Redevelopment Plan that will provide an exciting venue for the Centre adjacent to an enhanced riverbank parkland. A community fundraising campaign is being organized and discussions continue with the Federal and Provincial governments to commit the remainder of senior government funding. |

| The Visual and Performing Arts Facility will create a destination point in the downtown core that will serve to attract from the expanded trade area. A downtown area redevelopment plan has been completed for the two block area, at cost to the Prince Albert Arts Board, ensuring collateral commercial development. Additionally, this project will inject millions of dollars into the local construction industry, resulting in 7.5 permanent jobs at opening, with the potential to increase as revenue permits. |
