The Quilting Program - rebuilding people by recycling clothing
Quality patchwork quilts are produced out of clothing from the AS GOOD AS NEW store. The program aims to develop self-esteem and self-confidence as clients learn job skills. In a safe and supportive atmosphere, persons coping with mental illnesses are assisted as they cross the bridge from the hospital wards to the regular work-force.
The quilts are displayed and sold in the AS GOOD AS NEW store.

A Broadway hit, first produced in London under the title "Gaslight", this brilliant suspense story tells the tale of Mr. Manningham, a suavely sinister and handsome man and his gentle lovely wife who live on Angel Street in the 19th century. Why is Rough, a detective from Scotland Yard, convinced that Mr. Manningham is a maniacal criminal wanted for a murder committed fifteen years ago and why does ha need to gain Mrs. Manningham's confidence? This is a thriller not to be missed. Saskatchewan Music and Theatre links: | |||||||

The “Winter Festival Juried Art Show” is the only juried exhibition in the province that displays all the works entered for a one week period. The show is an important venue for new and emerging artists in the community and allows the gallery to feature these artists and to provide them with feedback on their work. The format includes group and individual critiques. April 9 - May 19 Bequest - Works by Honor Kever and Laureen Marchand Curated by Ulrike Veith In these works both artists are reflecting upon the realities of mental and physical decline in elderly family members and their deaths. The paintings show the shrinking world of elderly people as their capacities decline. As well the distance that comes with mental impairment and the loss of the relationship becomes apparent. The works are powerful in their intensity and at the same time gentle in their concern." Kever, Marchand. Both Kever and Marchand are senior artists with extensive exhibition records. Kever has worked in photography as a medium as well. Exhibitions around the province: |
