For one night only, as Odyssey Productions' annual contribution to the Prince Albert Winter Festival, the comedic improvisation team will perform at the Old Mann Motors Building. This performance team has received rave reviews from the audiences who have seen their work --recently Cumberland College in Nipawin and the staff at McDonald's. For those of you who participated in their monthly gatherings last season, this is your chance to catch up with their antics. For the other people who haven't had the experience, this is a chance to participate in a wacky comedy performance - either as a spectator or participant - that will leave you rolling in the aisles.
Team members include Cara Breadner, Peter Kuling, Chris and Aaron Jensen, Ian Dickson, and Megan Van Breugal. They will be performing on February 20th, at 8:00 PM, at 142 - 12th Street, West. With this type of comedy, you're never quite sure what will happen next...

Dinner Theatre January 29, 30, February 4, 5, 6. Cocktail at 6:00pm, dinner at 6:45 and show at 8:00pm. January 29 to February 6, 1999
..."A "has-been" playwright is given one last chance by a former love interest to create a script that will solve his financial woes and prove his creative brilliance still shines. Commissioned by the theatre company to write a script for the opening show of their season, Mark wastes his9 time until he is faced with the impossible task of producing a script in one night. With the creative juices now flowing, the audience watches as the characters come to life on the stage in a way that leaves us wondering who is in control of that darn plot anyway. The battle that ensues between the writer and the characters is full of laughter and fun for the audience. The perfect show for a mid-winter warm-up."...

Until February 7: Shades of Black and White by Ellen Moffat
..."Shades of Black and White" is a multimedia installation investigating the technological experience. Painted readymade (dolls and electronic equipment), mechanized playground equipment, children's drawings, video. Dolls as metaphors for children. Children as metaphors for adults. Reminiscent of our own childhood? Of our children? Of ourselves in relation to a new authority? Technology is integral to our livers. Yet in order to have a measure of control over its place in our lives, we can and need to examine our relationship with it. If we fail to maintain a truly interactive relationship, can we talk of the individual of community, and of society, or are we simply pawns to technocrative imperatives?... Ellen Moffat
