The program is designed to provide assistance with personal problems including:
- Stress (both job and non job-related)
- Marital and relationship issue
- Emotional distress
- Family difficulties
- Alcohol and drug misuse
- Problems stemming from medical issues
- Job problems / Job Loss
- Financial problems
- Trauma
The LCL Program is voluntary, and available to members of the Law Society of Saskatchewan and their immediately families. Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, a lawyer or a family member may call directly for immediate confidential assistance. Calls are received by professional counsellors who are knowledgeable in the field of alcohol and drug misuse, stress, emotional and family problems.
Concerned family members and colleagues are offered confidential assistance by professional counsellors in learning to help the person with the problem while also learning to deal with the situation themselves.
