Your identity and personal matters discussed with the counsellor are kept in strict confidence. Even the LCL Board of Directors do not know the identity of people using the program.

The troubled lawyer, family, law partners, associates, and articling student MUST have complete trust that the LCL Program is operating in their best interest and that their privacy, anonymity and confidentiality will be preserved.

The professional counselling office that provides the LCL services is completely autonomous and independent.

No disclosure will be made without the expressed written consent of the individual concerned. In addition, clients are assigned file numbers to preserve confidentiality.
