MY FOUR YEAR OLD SON CAN'T STOP CRYING
On January 24 2001, our pure bred male Boxer puppy was lost / stolen from
our home on the 600 block of 20th street east. He is four months old,
brindle colored (tan) with a wrinkled face, dark stripes, and a docked
tail. My son received Riley as a christmas gift from Santa this year.
His little brother passed away only 5 months ago and he was blaming
himself for what had happened. Santa knew that he was a really really
good big brother and he deserved a puppy to care for and love. Now that
he's gone, my son is blaming himself.... he's too young to understand
why God took his baby brother and now his baby puppy is gone too. PLEASE
help us find him. If you have any information on his whereabouts, email
me at - j.haugen@home.com; or call 922-8354 / 981-8354 day or night.
My little guy is so upset and if we don't find him I don't know what we'll
do. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Please forward
this to as many people you know in Prince Albert and surrounding areas.
Jasmine.

"Points North" is a survey exhibition of art by La Ronge and area artists.
As the largest community in northern Saskatchewan, La Ronge is a centre for
tourism, government, mining, fishing, trapping and logging. Its population
is an integration of native and non-native cultures.
This group exhibition will reflect artistic practices in this geographically
remote community with work by artists who are current or previous residents
of the area. Individual artists bring their own sensibility in their choice
of subject, media, and artistic concerns, reflecting a sense of
locale/place, regional and cultural identity.
The "North" continues to be a frontier in terms of rhythms, lifestyles, the
relationship of humans with the land, and the influence of the aboriginal
culture. These themes and relationships are reflected in artistic concerns
and practices. Ellen Moffat, curator
February 3: CARFAC sponsored: “The Artists’ Exchange”

CARFAC SASK is attempting to remedy this debilitating situation with a series of informal discussions and idea exchange sessions. Hosted at various venues throughout the province and facilitated by local artists, these gatherings will revive the art of conversation and allow artists to meet, share ideas, network and socialize. Food and refreshments accompany these sessions.
